Catalog: CNVFP-XPC-23320
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (XPC). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: XPC Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to XPC genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the XPC gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name XPC Complex Subunit, DNA Damage Recognition And Repair Factor
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] The protein encoded by this gene is a key component of the XPC complex, which plays an important role in the early steps of global genome nucleotide excision repair (NER). The encoded protein is important for damage sensing and DNA binding, and shows a preference for single-stranded DNA. Mutations in this gene or some other NER components can result in Xeroderma pigmentosum, a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by increased sensitivity to sunlight with the development of carcinomas at an early age. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2017]
Gene Symbol XPC
Location 3p25.1
Chromosome Chromosome3
Coordinates This gene maps to 14186647-14220172 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
