Catalog: CNVFP-XPA-23321
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (XPA). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: XPA Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to XPA genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the XPA gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name XPA, DNA Damage Recognition And Repair Factor
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a zinc finger protein plays a central role in nucleotide excision repair (NER), a specialized type of DNA repair. NER is responsible for repair of UV radiation-induced photoproducts and DNA adducts induced by chemical carcinogens and chemotherapeutic drugs. The encoded protein interacts with DNA and several NER proteins, acting as a scaffold to assemble the NER incision complex at sites of DNA damage. Mutations in this gene cause Xeroderma pigmentosum complementation group A (XP-A), an autosomal recessive skin disorder featuring hypersensitivity to sunlight and increased risk for skin cancer. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2017]
Gene Symbol XPA
Location 9q22.33
Chromosome Chromosome9
Coordinates This gene maps to 100437190-100459691 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
