Catalog: CNVFP-VPS26A-22822
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (VPS26A). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: VPS26A Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to VPS26A genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the VPS26A gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name VPS26, Retromer Complex Component A
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene belongs to a group of vacuolar protein sorting (VPS) genes. The encoded protein is a component of a large multimeric complex, termed the retromer complex, involved in retrograde transport of proteins from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. The close structural similarity between the yeast and human proteins that make up this complex suggests a similarity in function. Expression studies in yeast and mammalian cells indicate that this protein interacts directly with VPS35, which serves as the core of the retromer complex. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Symbol VPS26A
Location 10q22.1
Chromosome Chromosome10
Coordinates This gene maps to 70883907-70932616 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
