Catalog: CNVFP-VPS16-22824
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (VPS16). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: VPS16 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to VPS16 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the VPS16 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name VPS16, CORVET/HOPS Core Subunit
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] Vesicle mediated protein sorting plays an important role in segregation of intracellular molecules into distinct organelles. Genetic studies in yeast have identified more than 40 vacuolar protein sorting (VPS) genes involved in vesicle transport to vacuoles. This gene encodes the human homolog of yeast class C Vps16 protein. The mammalian class C Vps proteins are predominantly associated with late endosomes/lysosomes, and like their yeast counterparts, may mediate vesicle trafficking steps in the endosome/lysosome pathway. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2009]
Gene Symbol VPS16
Location 20p13
Chromosome Chromosome20
Coordinates This gene maps to 2821372-2847378 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
