Catalog: CNVFP-STEAP4-20143
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (STEAP4). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: STEAP4 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to STEAP4 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the STEAP4 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name STEAP4 Metalloreductase
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the STEAP (six transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate) family, and resides in the golgi apparatus. It functions as a metalloreductase that has the ability to reduce both Fe(3+) to Fe(2+) and Cu(2+) to Cu(1+), using NAD(+) as acceptor. Studies in mice and human suggest that this gene maybe involved in adipocyte development and metabolism, and may contribute to the normal biology of the prostate cell, as well as prostate cancer progression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2011]
Gene Symbol STEAP4
Location 7q21.12
Chromosome Chromosome7
Coordinates This gene maps to 87905743-87936228 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
