Catalog: CNVFP-ST6GAL1-19836
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (ST6GAL1). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: ST6GAL1 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to ST6GAL1 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the ST6GAL1 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name ST6 Beta-galactoside Alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 1
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a member of glycosyltransferase family 29. The encoded protein is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. The protein, which is normally found in the Golgi but can be proteolytically processed to a soluble form, is involved in the generation of the cell-surface carbohydrate determinants and differentiation antigens HB-6, CD75, and CD76. This gene has been incorrectly referred to as CD75. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2017]
Gene Symbol ST6GAL1
Location 3q27.3
Chromosome Chromosome3
Coordinates This gene maps to 186648314-186796341 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
