Catalog: CNVFP-SPRR2E-19978
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (SPRR2E). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: SPRR2E Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to SPRR2E genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the SPRR2E gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Small Proline Rich Protein 2E
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a member of a family of small proline-rich proteins clustered in the epidermal differentiation complex on chromosome 1q21. The encoded protein, along with other family members, is a component of the cornified cell envelope that forms beneath the plasma membrane in terminally differentiated stratified squamous epithelia. This envelope serves as a barrier against extracellular and environmental factors. The seven SPRR2 genes (A-G) appear to have been homogenized by gene conversion compared to others in the cluster that exhibit greater differences in protein structure. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2014]
Gene Symbol SPRR2E
Location 1q21.3
Chromosome Chromosome1
Coordinates This gene maps to 153065610-153067001 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
