Catalog: CNVFP-SPINK5-19649
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (SPINK5). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: SPINK5 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to SPINK5 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the SPINK5 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Serine Peptidase Inhibitor, Kazal Type 5
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a multidomain serine protease inhibitor that contains 15 potential inhibitory domains. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate multiple protein products, which may exhibit unique activities and specificities. These proteins may play a role in skin and hair morphogenesis, as well as anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial protection of mucous epithelia. Mutations in this gene may result in Netherton syndrome, a disorder characterized by ichthyosis, defective cornification, and atopy. This gene is present in a gene cluster on chromosome 5. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2015]
Gene Symbol SPINK5
Location 5q32
Chromosome Chromosome5
Coordinates This gene maps to 147443534-147516925 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
