Catalog: CNVFP-ROM1-17486
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (ROM1). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: ROM1 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to ROM1 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the ROM1 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Retinal Outer Segment Membrane Protein 1
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene is a member of a photoreceptor-specific gene family and encodes an integral membrane protein found in the photoreceptor disk rim of the eye. This protein can form homodimers or can heterodimerize with another photoreceptor, retinal degeneration slow (RDS). It is essential for disk morphogenesis, and may also function as an adhesion molecule involved in the stabilization and compaction of outer segment disks or in the maintenance of the curvature of the rim. Certain defects in this gene have been associated with the degenerative eye disease retinitis pigmentosa. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Symbol ROM1
Location 11q12.3
Chromosome Chromosome11
Coordinates This gene maps to 62380212-62382592 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
