Catalog: CNVFP-PTPRN2-16659
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (PTPRN2). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: PTPRN2 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to PTPRN2 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the PTPRN2 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase, Receptor Type N2
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a protein with sequence similarity to receptor-like protein tyrosine phosphatases. However, tyrosine phosphatase activity has not been experimentally validated for this protein. Studies of the rat ortholog suggest that the encoded protein may instead function as a phosphatidylinositol phosphatase with the ability to dephosphorylate phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and phosphatidylinositol 4,5-diphosphate, and this function may be involved in the regulation of insulin secretion. This protein has been identified as an autoantigen in insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2015]
Gene Symbol PTPRN2
Location 7q36.3
Chromosome Chromosome7
Coordinates This gene maps to 157331749-158380482 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
