Catalog: CNVFP-PIGV-15820
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (PIGV). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: PIGV Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to PIGV genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the PIGV gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Phosphatidylinositol Glycan Anchor Biosynthesis Class V
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a mannosyltransferase enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI). GPI is a complex glycolipid that functions as a membrane anchor for many proteins and plays a role in multiple cellular processes including protein sorting and signal transduction. The encoded protein is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and transfers the second mannose to the GPI backbone. Mutations in this gene are associated with hyperphosphatasia cognitive disability syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]
Gene Symbol PIGV
Location 1p36.11
Chromosome Chromosome1
Coordinates This gene maps to 27114453-27124894 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
