Catalog: CNVFP-MTNR1A-13775
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (MTNR1A). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: MTNR1A Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to MTNR1A genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the MTNR1A gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Melatonin Receptor 1A
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes one of two high affinity forms of a receptor for melatonin, the primary hormone secreted by the pineal gland. This receptor is a G-protein coupled, 7-transmembrane receptor that is responsible for melatonin effects on mammalian circadian rhythm and reproductive alterations affected by day length. The receptor is an integral membrane protein that is readily detectable and localized to two specific regions of the brain. The hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nucleus appears to be involved in circadian rhythm while the hypophysial pars tuberalis may be responsible for the reproductive effects of melatonin. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Symbol MTNR1A
Location 4q35.2
Chromosome Chromosome4
Coordinates This gene maps to 187454808-187476537 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
