Copy Number Variation |
Description: |
Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (MMP26). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services. |
Application: |
MMP26 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to MMP26 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the MMP26 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH. |

Gene Details
Gene Name |
Matrix Metallopeptidase 26 |
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] |
Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature enzyme. This enzyme may degrade collagen type IV, fibronectin, fibrinogen, and beta-casein, and activate matrix metalloproteinase-9 by cleavage. The protein differs from most MMP family members in that it lacks a conserved C-terminal protein domain. The encoded protein may promote cell invasion in multiple human cancers.
