Catalog: CNVFP-MED20-10967
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (MED20). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: MED20 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to MED20 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the MED20 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Mediator Complex Subunit 20
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a component of the mediator complex (also known as TRAP, SMCC, DRIP, or ARC), a transcriptional coactivator complex thought to be required for the expression of almost all genes. The mediator complex is recruited by transcriptional activators or nuclear receptors to induce gene expression, by interacting with RNA polymerase II and promoting the formation of a transcriptional pre-initiation complex. A mutation in this gene has been associated with a novel infantile-onset neurodegenerative movement disorder. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2015]
Gene Symbol MED20
Location 6p21.1
Chromosome Chromosome6
Coordinates This gene maps to 41873091-41888877 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
