Catalog: CNVFP-MASP2-10995
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (MASP2). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: MASP2 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to MASP2 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the MASP2 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Microtubule Associated Serine/threonine Kinase 2
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a member of the peptidase S1 family of serine proteases. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate A and B chains that heterodimerize to form the mature protease. This protease cleaves complement components C2 and C4 in order to generate C3 convertase in the lectin pathway of the complement system. The encoded protease also plays a role in the coagulation cascade through cleavage of prothrombin to form thrombin. Myocardial infarction and acute stroke patients exhibit reduced serum concentrations of the encoded protein. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that is proteolytically processed. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
Gene Symbol MASP2
Location 1p36.22
Chromosome Chromosome1
Coordinates This gene maps to 11086579-11107296 in GRCh37 coordinates.
