Catalog: CNVFP-KPNA5-08247
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (KPNA5). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: KPNA5 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to KPNA5 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the KPNA5 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Karyopherin Subunit Alpha 5
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] The transport of molecules between the nucleus and the cytoplasm in eukaryotic cells is mediated by the nuclear pore complex (NPC) which consists of 60-100 proteins and is probably 120 million daltons in molecular size. Small molecules (up to 70 kD) can pass through the nuclear pore by nonselective diffusion; larger molecules are transported by an active process. Most nuclear proteins contain short basic amino acid sequences known as nuclear localization signals (NLSs). KPNA5 protein belongs to the importin alpha protein family and is thought to be involved in NLS-dependent protein import into the nucleus. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Symbol KPNA5
Location 6q22.1
Chromosome Chromosome6
Coordinates This gene maps to 117002366-117063030 in GRCh37 coordinates.
