Catalog: CNVFP-KCNMB2-07761
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (KCNMB2). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: KCNMB2 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to KCNMB2 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the KCNMB2 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Potassium Calcium-activated Channel Subfamily M Regulatory Beta Subunit 2
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] MaxiK channels are large conductance, voltage and calcium-sensitive potassium channels which are fundamental to the control of smooth muscle tone and neuronal excitability. MaxiK channels can be formed by 2 subunits: the pore-forming alpha subunit and the modulatory beta subunit. The protein encoded by this gene is an auxiliary beta subunit which decreases the activation time of MaxiK alpha subunit currents. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene. Additional variants are discussed in the literature, but their full length nature has not been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Gene Symbol KCNMB2
Location 3q26.32
Chromosome Chromosome3
Coordinates This gene maps to 178254223-178562217 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
