Catalog: CNVFP-KATNA1-07867
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (KATNA1). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: KATNA1 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to KATNA1 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the KATNA1 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Katanin Catalytic Subunit A1
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] Microtubules, polymers of alpha and beta tubulin subunits, form the mitotic spindle of a dividing cell and help to organize membranous organelles during interphase. Katanin is a heterodimer that consists of a 60 kDa ATPase (p60 subunit A 1) and an 80 kDa accessory protein (p80 subunit B 1). The p60 subunit acts to sever and disassemble microtubules, while the p80 subunit targets the enzyme to the centrosome. This gene encodes the p80 subunit. This protein is a member of the AAA family of ATPases. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]
Gene Symbol KATNA1
Location 6q25.1
Chromosome Chromosome6
Coordinates This gene maps to 149916010-149969940 in GRCh37 coordinates.
