Catalog: CNVFP-KANK1-07884
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (KANK1). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: KANK1 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to KANK1 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the KANK1 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name KN Motif And Ankyrin Repeat Domains 1
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Kank family of proteins, which contain multiple ankyrin repeat domains. This family member functions in cytoskeleton formation by regulating actin polymerization. This gene is a candidate tumor suppressor for renal cell carcinoma. Mutations in this gene cause cerebral palsy spastic quadriplegic type 2, a central nervous system development disorder. A t(5;9) translocation results in fusion of the platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta gene (PDGFRB) on chromosome 5 with this gene in a myeloproliferative neoplasm featuring severe thrombocythemia. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 20. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]
Gene Symbol KANK1
Location 9p24.3
Chromosome Chromosome9
Coordinates This gene maps to 504702-746103 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
