Catalog: CNVFP-GPS2-06199
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (GPS2). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: GPS2 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to GPS2 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the GPS2 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name G Protein Pathway Suppressor 2
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a protein involved in G protein-mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascades. When overexpressed in mammalian cells, this gene could potently suppress a RAS- and MAPK-mediated signal and interfere with JNK activity, suggesting that the function of this gene may be signal repression. The encoded protein is an integral subunit of the NCOR1-HDAC3 (nuclear receptor corepressor 1-histone deacetylase 3) complex, and it was shown that the complex inhibits JNK activation through this subunit and thus could potentially provide an alternative mechanism for hormone-mediated antagonism of AP1 (activator protein 1) function. Gene Symbol GPS2
Location 17p13.1
Chromosome Chromosome17
Coordinates This gene maps to 7215977-7218658 in GRCh37 coordinates.
