Catalog: CNVFP-GLIPR1-05878
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (GLIPR1). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: GLIPR1 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to GLIPR1 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the GLIPR1 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name GLI Pathogenesis Related 1
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes a protein with similarity to both the pathogenesis-related protein (PR) superfamily and the cysteine-rich secretory protein (CRISP) family. Increased expression of this gene is associated with myelomocytic differentiation in macrophage and decreased expression of this gene through gene methylation is associated with prostate cancer. The protein has proapoptotic activities in prostate and bladder cancer cells. This gene is a member of a cluster on chromosome 12 containing two other similar genes. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described; however, not all variants have been fully characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Symbol GLIPR1
Location 12q21.2
Chromosome Chromosome12
Coordinates This gene maps to 75874512-75895716 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
