Catalog: CNVFP-GCM2-06007
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (GCM2). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: GCM2 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to GCM2 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the GCM2 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Glial Cells Missing Homolog 2
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene is a homolog of the Drosophila glial cells missing gene, which is thought to act as a binary switch between neuronal and glial cell determination. The protein encoded by this gene contains a conserved N-terminal GCM motif that has DNA-binding activity. The protein is a transcription factor that acts as a master regulator of parathyroid development. It has been suggested that this transcription factor might mediate the effect of calcium on parathyroid hormone expression and secretion in parathyroid cells. Mutations in this gene are associated with hypoparathyroidism. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Symbol GCM2
Location 6p24.2
Chromosome Chromosome6
Coordinates This gene maps to 10873455-10882098 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
