Catalog: CNVFP-EFEMP2-04443
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (EFEMP2). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: EFEMP2 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to EFEMP2 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the EFEMP2 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name EGF Containing Fibulin Extracellular Matrix Protein 2
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] A large number of extracellular matrix proteins have been found to contain variations of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) domain and have been implicated in functions as diverse as blood coagulation, activation of complement and determination of cell fate during development. The protein encoded by this gene contains four EGF2 domains and six calcium-binding EGF2 domains. This gene is necessary for elastic fiber formation and connective tissue development. Defects in this gene are cause of an autosomal recessive cutis laxa syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]
Gene Symbol EFEMP2
Location 11q13.1
Chromosome Chromosome11
Coordinates This gene maps to 65633911-65640405 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
