Catalog: CNVFP-DSC1-04337
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (DSC1). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: DSC1 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to DSC1 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the DSC1 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Desmocollin 1
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] The protein encoded by this gene is a calcium-dependent glycoprotein that is a member of the desmocollin subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. These desmosomal family members, along with the desmogleins, are found primarily in epithelial cells where they constitute the adhesive proteins of the desmosome cell-cell junction and are required for cell adhesion and desmosome formation. A subtype of IgA pemphigus, a life-threatening autoimmune disease, is characterized by the presence of autoantibodies that target the encoded protein. The desmosomal family members are arranged in two clusters on chromosome 18. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. At least one of these variants encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]
Gene Symbol DSC1
