| Catalog: | CNVFP-DCTN2-03553 |
| Classification: | Copy Number Variation |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (DCTN2). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services. |
| Application: | DCTN2 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to DCTN2 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the DCTN2 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH. |

| Gene Name | Dynactin Subunit 2 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | This gene encodes a 50-kD subunit of dynactin, a macromolecular complex consisting of 10-11 subunits ranging in size from 22 to 150 kD. Dynactin binds to both microtubules and cytoplasmic dynein. It is involved in a diverse array of cellular functions, including ER-to-Golgi transport, the centripetal movement of lysosomes and endosomes, spindle formation, chromosome movement, nuclear positioning, and axonogenesis. This subunit is present in 4-5 copies per dynactin molecule. It contains three short alpha-helical coiled-coil domains that may mediate association with self or other dynactin subunits. It may interact directly with the largest subunit (p150) of dynactin and may affix p150 in place. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012] |
