Catalog: CNVFP-CIDEA-02811
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (CIDEA). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: CIDEA Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to CIDEA genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the CIDEA gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Cell Death-inducing DFFA-like Effector A
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes the homolog of the mouse protein Cidea that has been shown to activate apoptosis. This activation of apoptosis is inhibited by the DNA fragmentation factor DFF45 but not by caspase inhibitors. Mice that lack functional Cidea have higher metabolic rates, higher lipolysis in brown adipose tissue and higher core body temperatures when subjected to cold. These mice are also resistant to diet-induced obesity and diabetes. This suggests that in mice this gene product plays a role in thermogenesis and lipolysis. Alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]
Gene Symbol CIDEA
Location 18
Chromosome Chromosome18
Coordinates This gene maps to 12254317-12277594 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
