Catalog: CNVFP-CACNG6-01801
Classification: Copy Number Variation
Description: Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (CACNG6). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services.
Application: CACNG6 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to CACNG6 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the CACNG6 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH.

Gene Details

Gene Name Calcium Voltage-gated Channel Auxiliary Subunit Gamma 6
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] Voltage-dependent calcium channels are composed of five subunits. The protein encoded by this gene represents one of these subunits, gamma, and is one of two known gamma subunit proteins. This particular gamma subunit is an integral membrane protein that is thought to stabilize the calcium channel in an inactive (closed) state. This gene is part of a functionally diverse eight-member protein subfamily of the PMP-22/EMP/MP20 family and is located in a cluster with two family members that function as transmembrane AMPA receptor regulatory proteins (TARPs). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Variants in this gene have been associated with aspirin-intolerant asthma. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Gene Symbol CACNG6
Location 19q13.42
Chromosome Chromosome19
Coordinates This gene maps to 54495541-54515920 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
