Copy Number Variation |
Description: |
Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (BRD2). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services. |
Application: |
BRD2 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to BRD2 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the BRD2 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH. |

Gene Details
Gene Name |
Bromodomain Containing 2 |
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] |
This gene encodes a transcriptional regulator that belongs to the BET (bromodomains and extra terminal domain) family of proteins. This protein associates with transcription complexes and with acetylated chromatin during mitosis, and it selectively binds to the acetylated lysine-12 residue of histone H4 via its two bromodomains. The gene maps to the major histocompatability complex (MHC) class II region on chromosome 6p21.3, but sequence comparison suggests that the protein is not involved in the immune response. This gene has been implicated in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, a common form of epilepsy that becomes apparent in adolescence. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010] |
