Copy Number Variation |
Description: |
Our Gene-specific Copy Number Variation Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (ANO3). The product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We provide CNV FISH Probes with a variety of dye color combinations to meet various challenges. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations but also provide customized probe services. |
Application: |
ANO3 Gene-specific copy number variation probes are mainly used to detect the copy number variation related to ANO3 genes. This product achieves the purpose of detection by hybridizing with the ANO3 gene. Due to this design method, our probe products can detect the amplification and deletion of target genes on chromosomes through FISH. |

Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] |
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the TMEM16 family of predicted membrane proteins, that are also known as anoctamins. While little is known about the function of this gene, mutations in this gene have been associated with some cases of autosomal dominant craniocervical dystonia. Cells from individuals with a mutation in this gene exhibited abnormalities in endoplasmic reticulum-dependent calcium signaling. Studies in rat show that the rat ortholog of this protein interacts with, and modulates the activity of a sodium-activated potassium channel. Deletion of this gene caused increased pain sensitivity in the rat model system. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
