| Catalog: | GBAFP-WDR19-18882 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (WDR19). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | WDR19 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential WDR19 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | WD Repeat Domain 19 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the WD (tryptophan-aspartic acid) repeat family, which is a large family of structurally-related proteins known to participate in a wide range of cellular processes. Each WD repeat typically contains about 40 amino acids that are usually bracketed by glycine-histidine and tryptophan-aspartic acid (WD) dipeptides. This protein contains six WD repeats, three transmembrane domains, and a clathrin heavy-chain repeat. Mutations in this gene have been described in individuals with a wide range of disorders affecting function of the cilium. These disorders are known as ciliopathies, and include Jeune syndrome, Sensenbrenner syndromes, Senior-Loken syndrome, combined or isolated nephronophthisis (NPHP), and retinitis pigmentosa (RP). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015] |
