| Catalog: | GBAFP-TRPM7-08648 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (TRPM7). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | TRPM7 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential TRPM7 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily M Member 7 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | This gene belongs to the melastatin subfamily of transient receptor potential family of ion channels. The protein encoded by this gene is both an ion channel and a serine/threonine protein kinase. The kinase activity is essential for the ion channel function, which serves to increase intracellular calcium levels and to help regulate magnesium ion homeostasis. The encoded protein is involved in cytoskeletal organization, cell adhesion, cell migration and organogenesis. Defects in this gene are a cause of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis-parkinsonism/dementia complex of Guam. The gene may also be associated with defects of cardiac function.
