| Catalog: | GBAFP-SYT14-17827 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (SYT14). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | SYT14 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential SYT14 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | Synaptotagmin 14 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | This gene is a member of the synaptotagmin gene family and encodes a protein similar to other family members that mediate membrane trafficking in synaptic transmission. The encoded protein is a calcium-independent synaptotagmin. Mutations in this gene are a cause of autosomal recessive spinocerebellar ataxia-11 (SCAR11), and a t(1;3) translocation of this gene has been associated with neurodevelopmental abnormalities. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene, and a pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 4.
