| Catalog: | GBAFP-SEC24B-16918 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (SEC24B). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | SEC24B Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential SEC24B rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | SEC24 Homolog B, COPII Coat Complex Component |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SEC24 subfamily of the SEC23/SEC24 family, which is involved in vesicle trafficking. The encoded protein is thought to be a cargo-binding component of the COPII vesicle, and is thought to be involved in the transport of secretory proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. Mutations in this gene have been associated with neural tube defects, and are thought to be a result of a disruption in interactions with the protein encoded by the VANGL planar cell polarity protein 2 (VANGL2) gene. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015] |
