| Catalog: | GBAFP-PRDM12-16131 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (PRDM12). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | PRDM12 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential PRDM12 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | PR/SET Domain 12 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | This gene encodes a transcriptional regulator of sensory neuronal specification that plays a critical role in pain perception. The encoded protein contains an N-terminal PRDI-BF1 and RIZ homology (PR) domain, a SET domain, and three C-terminal C2H2 zinc finger DNA-binding domains. Naturally occurring mutations in this gene are associated with congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP), and hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathies (HSAN's) affecting peripheral sensory and autonomic neurons. Deregulation of this gene is associated with solid cancers and hematological malignancies including chronic myeloid leukaemia. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017] |
