| Catalog: | GBAFP-PPM1L-16039 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (PPM1L). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | PPM1L Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential PPM1L rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | Protein Phosphatase, Mg2+/Mn2+ Dependent 1L |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | The protein encoded by this gene is a magnesium or manganese-requiring phosphatase that is involved in several signaling pathways. The encoded protein downregulates apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1, a protein that initiates a signaling cascade that leads to apoptosis when cells are subjected to cytotoxic stresses. This protein also is an endoplasmic reticulum transmembrane protein that helps regulate ceramide transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. Finally, this gene may be involved in adiposity since it is upregulated in adipose tissues. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
