| Catalog: | GBAFP-MIR184-14155 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (MIR184). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | MIR184 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential MIR184 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | MicroRNA 184 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | microRNAs (miRNAs) are short (20-24 nt) non-coding RNAs that are involved in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in multicellular organisms by affecting both the stability and translation of target mRNAs. This microRNA represents the most abundant miRNA in the corneal and lens epithelia of the eye and has been shown to interfere with target binding by another miRNA, miR-205. Through regulation of the VEGF and Akt signaling pathways, this microRNA may inhibit corneal angiogenesis. Mutations in the seed region of this microRNA cause familial keratoconus with cataract, also known as EDICT syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017] |
