Gene-specific Break Apart Probe-MCL1

Add to Cart
Catalog: GBAFP-MCL1-19418
Classification: Gene-specific Break Apart Probes
Description: Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (MCL1). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent.
Application: MCL1 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential MCL1 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services.

Gene Details

Gene Name MCL1, BCL2 Family Apoptosis Regulator
Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] This gene encodes an anti-apoptotic protein, which is a member of the Bcl-2 family. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. The longest gene product (isoform 1) enhances cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis while the alternatively spliced shorter gene products (isoform 2 and isoform 3) promote apoptosis and are death-inducing. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2010]
Gene Symbol MCL1
Location 1q21.2
Chromosome Chromosome1
Coordinates This gene maps to 150547026-150552214 in GRCh37 coordinates.
Species Human
