| Catalog: | GBAFP-KIRREL3-03824 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (KIRREL3). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | KIRREL3 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential KIRREL3 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | Kirre Like Nephrin Family Adhesion Molecule 3 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the nephrin-like protein family. These proteins are expressed in fetal and adult brain, and also in podocytes of kidney glomeruli. The cytoplasmic domains of these proteins interact with the C-terminus of podocin, also expressed in the podocytes, cells involved in ensuring size- and charge-selective ultrafiltration. The protein encoded by this gene is a synaptic cell adhesion molecule with multiple extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains and a cytoplasmic PDZ domain-binding motif. Mutations in this gene are associated with several neurological and cognitive disorders. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
