| Catalog: | GBAFP-IL10-03480 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (IL10). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | IL10 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential IL10 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | Interleukin 10 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine produced primarily by monocytes and to a lesser extent by lymphocytes. This cytokine has pleiotropic effects in immunoregulation and inflammation. It down-regulates the expression of Th1 cytokines, MHC class II Ags, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. It also enhances B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production. This cytokine can block NF-kappa B activity, and is involved in the regulation of the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. Knockout studies in mice suggested the function of this cytokine as an essential immunoregulator in the intestinal tract. Mutations in this gene are associated with an increased susceptibility to HIV-1 infection and rheumatoid arthritis.[provided by RefSeq, May 2011] |
