| Catalog: | GBAFP-DDX27-11499 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (DDX27). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | DDX27 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential DDX27 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | DEAD-box Helicase 27 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a DEAD box protein involved in the processing of 5.8S and 28S ribosomal RNAs. More specifically, the encoded protein localizes to the nucleolus, where it interacts with the PeBoW complex to ensure proper 3' end formation of 47S rRNA. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017] |
