| Catalog: | GBAFP-CHD8-01287 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (CHD8). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | CHD8 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential CHD8 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | Chromodomain Helicase DNA Binding Protein 8 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | This gene encodes a member of the chromodomain-helicase-DNA binding protein family, which is characterized by a SNF2-like domain and two chromatin organization modifier domains. The encoded protein also contains brahma and kismet domains, which are common to the subfamily of chromodomain-helicase-DNA binding proteins to which this protein belongs. This gene has been shown to function in several processes that include transcriptional regulation, epigenetic remodeling, promotion of cell proliferation, and regulation of RNA synthesis. Allelic variants of this gene are associated with autism spectrum disorder. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016] |
