| Catalog: | GBAFP-CEP19-01285 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (CEP19). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | CEP19 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential CEP19 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | Centrosomal Protein 19 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | The protein encoded by this gene localizes to centrosomes and primary cilia and co-localizes with a marker for the mother centriole. This gene resides in a region of human chromosome 3 that is linked to morbid obesity. A homozygous knockout of the orthologous gene in mouse resulted in mice with morbid obesity, hyperphagy, glucose intolerance, and insulin resistance. Mutations in this gene cause morbid obesity and spermatogenic failure (MOSPGF). This gene has a pseudogene on human chromosome 2. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014] |
