| Catalog: | GBAFP-CDH26-10797 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (CDH26). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | CDH26 Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential CDH26 rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | Cadherin 26 |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | This gene encodes a member of the cadherin protein family. Cadherins are a family of calcium-dependent adhesion molecules that mediate cell-cell adhesion in all solid tissues and modulate a wide variety of processes, including cell polarization, migration and differentiation. Cadherin domains occur as repeats in the extracellular region and are thought to contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types and the maintenance of orderly structures such as epithelium. This protein is expressed in gastrointestinal epithelial cells and may be upregulated during allergic inflammation. This protein interacts with alpha integrins and may also be involved in leukocyte migration and adhesion. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017] |
