| Catalog: | GBAFP-BCDIN3D-00620 |
| Classification: | Gene-specific Break Apart Probes |
| Description: | Our Gene-specific Break Apart Probes usually target the flanks of the target gene (BCDIN3D). Due to this design method, our probe products can detect chromosomal rearrangements, such as translocations, by FISH.The product usually consists of a reagent combination composed of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. |
| Application: | BCDIN3D Gene-specific Break Apart Probe is designed to detect potential BCDIN3D rearrangements. This probe has been confirmed on the metaphase and interphase chromosomes by FISH. We provide a variety of dye color combinations for Break Apart Probes for customers to choose from. Probe products not only provide some classic color combinations, but also provide customized probe services. |

| Gene Name | BCDIN3 Domain Containing RNA Methyltransferase |
| Gene Summary [Provided by RefSeq] | This gene encodes an RNA methyltransferase which belongs to the rossmann fold methyltransferase family, and serves as a 5'-methylphosphate capping enzyme that is specific for cytoplasmic histidyl tRNA. The encoded protein contains an S-adenosylmethionine binding domain and uses the methyl group donor, S-adenosylmethionine. This gene is overexpressed in breast cancer cells, and is related to the tumorigenic phenotype and poor prognosis of breast cancer. The encoded protein is thought to promote the cellular invasion of breast cancer cells, by downregulating the expression of tumor suppressor miRNAs through the dimethylation of the 5-monophosphate of the corresponding precursor miRNAs.
