Description:	Empire Genomics has developed a custom probe which can be used to detect the presence of chromosome X, in mouse samples, using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Mouse probes are not FISH tested prior to release and are subject to availability.
Application:	Mouse X chromosome control probes can be used to detect the presence of Y chromosomes in mouse samples. The chromosome control probe has two important uses: 1. It can be used for chromosome counting; 2. It can be used to verify whether the gene-specific probe hybridizes to the correct chromosome.
