Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The UBR5-ODF1 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of UBR5 and ODF1 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Outer Dense Fiber Of Sperm Tails 1 |
Gene Summary 1 |
The outer dense fibers are cytoskeletal structures that surround the axoneme in the middle piece and principal piece of the sperm tail. The fibers function in maintaining the elastic structure and recoil of the sperm tail as well as in protecting the tail from shear forces during epididymal transport and ejaculation. Defects in the outer dense fibers lead to abnormal sperm morphology and infertility. The human outer dense fibers contains at least 10 major proteins and this gene encodes the main protein. Chromosome 1 |
Chromosome 8 |
Locus 1 |
8q22.3 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 103563847-103573245 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Ubiquitin Protein Ligase E3 Component N-recognin 5 |
Gene Summary 2 |
This gene encodes a progestin-induced protein, which belongs to the HECT (homology to E6-AP carboxyl terminus) family. The HECT family proteins function as E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases, targeting specific proteins for ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis. This gene is localized to chromosome 8q22 which is disrupted in a variety of cancers. This gene potentially has a role in regulation of cell proliferation or differentiation.
