Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The STX5-TAF6L Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of STX5 and TAF6L genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Syntaxin 5 |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes a member of the syntaxin or t-SNARE (target-SNAP receptor) family. These proteins are found on cell membranes and serve as the targets for v-SNAREs (vesicle-SNAP receptors), permitting specific synaptic vesicle docking and fusion. The encoded protein regulates endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi transport and plays a critical role in autophagy. Autoantibodies targeting the encoded protein may be a diagnostic marker for endometriosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. Gene Name 2 |
TATA-box Binding Protein Associated Factor 6 Like |
Gene Summary 2 |
Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase II requires the activities of more than 70 polypeptides. The protein that coordinates these activities is transcription factor IID (TFIID), which binds to the core promoter to position the polymerase properly, serves as the scaffold for assembly of the remainder of the transcription complex, and acts as a channel for regulatory signals. TFIID is composed of the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and a group of evolutionarily conserved proteins known as TBP-associated factors or TAFs. TAFs may participate in basal transcription, serve as coactivators, function in promoter recognition or modify general transcription factors (GTFs) to facilitate complex assembly and transcription initiation. This gene encodes a protein that is a component of the PCAF histone acetylase complex and structurally similar to one of the histone-like TAFs, TAF6. The PCAF histone acetylase complex, which is composed of more than 20 polypeptides some of which are TAFs, is required for myogenic transcription and differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
