Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The SMURF1-KPNA7 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of SMURF1 and KPNA7 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
SMAD Specific E3 Ubiquitin Protein Ligase 1 |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes a ubiquitin ligase that is specific for receptor-regulated SMAD proteins in the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) pathway. This protein plays a key roll in the regulation of cell motility, cell signalling, and cell polarity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010] |
Chromosome 1 |
Chromosome 7 |
Locus 1 |
7q22.1 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 98625057-98741743 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Karyopherin Subunit Alpha 7 |
Gene Summary 2 |
The transport of molecules between the nucleus and the cytoplasm in eukaryotic cells is mediated by the nuclear pore complex (NPC), which consists of 60-100 proteins. Small molecules (up to 70 kD) can pass through the nuclear pore by nonselective diffusion while larger molecules are transported by an active process. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the importin alpha family, and is involved in nuclear protein import, but exhibits different nuclear localization signal binding specificity compared to other members of the family. A pseudogene of this gene has been defined on chromosome 5. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016] |
