Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The SLMAP-CYP11A1 Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of SLMAP and CYP11A1 genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Cytochrome P450 Family 11 Subfamily A Member 1 |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the mitochondrial inner membrane and catalyzes the conversion of cholesterol to pregnenolone, the first and rate-limiting step in the synthesis of the steroid hormones. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. The cellular location of the smaller isoform is unclear since it lacks the mitochondrial-targeting transit peptide. Chromosome 15 |
Locus 1 |
15q24.1 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 74630102-74660081 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Sarcolemma Associated Protein |
Gene Summary 2 |
This gene encodes a component of a conserved striatin-interacting phosphatase and kinase complex. Striatin family complexes participate in a variety of cellular processes including signaling, cell cycle control, cell migration, Golgi assembly, and apoptosis. The protein encoded by this gene is a coiled-coil, tail-anchored membrane protein with a single C-terminal transmembrane domain that is posttranslationally inserted into membranes. Mutations in this gene are associated with Brugada syndrome, a cardiac channelopathy. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015] |
