Classification: |
Gene Fusion FISH Probes |
Description: |
The RPTOR-GAA Gene Fusion FISH Probecan detect the fusion of RPTOR and GAA genes. Our product usually consists of a combination of reagents, which consists of a probe with a selected dye color and a hybridization reagent. We offer a variety of dye color combinations for FISH probes for gene fusions. This product has been verified in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads of normal peripheral blood. This is key quality control, you can trust our quality. |

Gene Details
Gene Name 1 |
Glucosidase Alpha, Acid |
Gene Summary 1 |
This gene encodes lysosomal alpha-glucosidase, which is essential for the degradation of glycogen to glucose in lysosomes. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate multiple intermediate forms and the mature form of the enzyme. Defects in this gene are the cause of glycogen storage disease II, also known as Pompe's disease, which is an autosomal recessive disorder with a broad clinical spectrum. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016] |

Chromosome 17 |
Locus 1 |
17q25.3 |
Coordinates 1 |
This gene maps to 78075354-78093679 in GRCh37 coordinates. |
Gene Name 2 |
Regulatory Associated Protein Of MTOR Complex 1 |
Gene Summary 2 |
This gene encodes a component of a signaling pathway that regulates cell growth in response to nutrient and insulin levels. The encoded protein forms a stoichiometric complex with the mTOR kinase, and also associates with eukaryotic initiation factor 4E-binding protein-1 and ribosomal protein S6 kinase. The protein positively regulates the downstream effector ribosomal protein S6 kinase, and negatively regulates the mTOR kinase. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009] |
